Local fan raves about Bucky Lewis!
He's called the 'funniest musician in the country' by many of his comic peers, and he's  coming to The Governor's Inn on Friday, May 11.   His show - known as 'The Bucky Lewis Show' - incorporates a ménage-a-trios of music, acting and comedy.   The May 11 performance at the Inn will be a special benefit to the American Cancer Society, Rochester relay team.   Bucky Lewis is not your basic stand-up and tell jokes kind of comedian, according to Tracey Donovan of Rochester, who said she has travelled to at least ten Bucky Lewis Shows.   "He's nothing like you've ever seen around here, you cant' compare him to anyone" said Donovan.  "He's effortlessly funny, and that makes him absolutely hilarious," she said.

Lewis is known for his comic acting, transforming himself into different characters, donning various jackets, hats, and even teeth.  Characters such as the Alphabet Italian,  the Pizza Man, Taxi Driver, Italian Chef, and the man form Maine.  He also gets the audience involved, inviting some on stage to join in on the fun.  His guitar work is exceptional as well, and his songs also pull people in to sing along.

Donovan claims that Lewis is so popular that more people request his return to the Meadowbrook Pavilion than they do of Leonard Skynard.  "He's so amazing" Donovan raves, "You'll forget your worries … he's just hilarious ….I can't even tell you." A native from New Hampshire, Lewis brings forth his roots through his funny cast of characters.  A native of New Hampshire, his northern, blue collar styled though adult-rated comedy please every crowd, especially when he brings audience members on stage for spontaneous fun.   And according to his tailgating fan Tracey Donovan, anybody who goes to see Bucky Lewis will want to see him again, and many will also become followers.  "I just saw him and I can't wait to see him again."

Doors to The Governor's Ballroom on May 11 open at 6pm with food, drink & good cheer, and the show starts at 8pm.  Tickets are $20 with proceeds to the American Cancer Society, Rochester Relay Team.   For more information visit
